Platform & Priorities

I believe justice works best when it's rooted in community values - fairness, accountability, and a shared commitment to make our counties stronger and safer for everyone.

Fairness

Justice is about treating everyone equally, regardless of background, wealth, or status. Growing up in a working-class family and later working as a tradesman and defense attorney, I’ve seen firsthand how life circumstances can shape people’s opportunities. I understand the importance of listening carefully, weighing facts without bias, and ensuring that every person who comes before the court is treated with impartiality and respect.

I will bring this perspective to the bench, striving to make decisions that are fair, consistent, and rooted in the law, while remaining mindful of the human lives affected by my rulings.

Integrity

Integrity isn’t just about following the law - it’s about making decisions that are honest, ethical, and principled. From my years working in construction and plumbing to defending clients in court, I’ve built my career on doing the right thing even when no one is watching.

As a judge, I will continue to act with transparency and honesty, upholding the trust placed in me by the people of Madison and Clark Counties and ensuring that justice is delivered with consistency and moral clarity.

Community Trust

Trust is earned through action, and I’ve spent my life earning it in many ways. Whether fixing a family’s plumbing, building a home, or standing beside someone as their defense attorney, the citizens of Madison and Clark Counties have trusted me in their homes, their workplaces, and their most vulnerable moments.

That same trust guides me as I step toward the bench. I understand that being a judge is not just about interpreting the law - it’s about maintaining confidence in the justice system and making sure every person feels heard and respected.

Judicial Temperament

A judge must be patient, thoughtful, and even-handed, even in stressful or emotionally charged situations. From navigating the challenges of my childhood to serving customers from all walks of life as a plumber, to managing complex litigation as an attorney; life has offered me countless opportunities to learn and grow, and I’ve used those experiences to develop resilience, patience, and thoughtful judgment.

I will bring that calm, careful judgment to the courtroom, listening fully, weighing all perspectives, and making decisions grounded in law and fairness. My approach ensures that the court remains a place of order, respect for all, and reasoned deliberation.

Accountability

Accountability means taking responsibility for your actions and ensuring that others are held to the same standard. My life is a testament to the idea that where you come from doesn’t define what you can achieve. From humble beginnings and early challenges, I’ve worked my way through trades, law school, and the courtroom, always committed to doing my best and owning the outcomes of my decisions.

As a judge, I will uphold this principle by being answerable to the law, to the public, and to the ethical standards of the bench, while encouraging fairness, responsibility, and accountability from everyone who appears before the court.
